Thought Management Program

Are you a woman who experiences anxiety and overthinking? This 4-week program will teach you the skill of managing your own thoughts - which is the foundation of emotional freedom.

Do your thoughts race?

Do you overthink the past or worry about the future?

Does your to-do list overwhelm you?

Do your social interactions trigger anxiety?

Do you worry you’re failing or not enough?

…If so, you’re in good company. Many women struggle with these challenges.

Learn to change these patterns

You can’t control what happens out there.

But you CAN manage the thoughts and feelings you have in response. That skill is called thought management, and it’s grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

THAT is where you power is.

THAT is where your freedom is.

Learn the skill of stepping off the emotional rollercoaster.

About the Program

Thought Management is a 4-week program that teaches women the skill of managing their own thought and feelings. (It’s a skill you can learn, like riding a bike!) The program is offered in-person (for those who crave community) and in a self-study format (for those who prefer to explore vulnerable topics in private.)

Logistic details

  • Time: Mondays from 6:30 - 8 pm, from March 17 - April 7 (recordings of the class content will be released to self-study participants the Tuesday after each class.)

  • Cost: $50+HST (total for all 4 sessions)

  • In-person location: Dorchester Terrace Community Room (space and snacks are kindly donated by Dorchester Terrace!)

  • Capacity: In-person cohort is capped at 16 women, to ensure an intimate environment. Self-study cohort is also capped at 16, to ensure the facilitator has time to support questions.

  • Limitations: The facilitator is a life coach, not a therapist. This program empowers women to reduce anxiety and overthinking, but is not meant to treat mental health challenges like trauma, grief and loss, depression, OCD, or others. If you’re not sure whether this program is right for you, email chelsea.r.hicks@gmail.com with any questions.

In-Person vs Self-Study

Why consider in-person?

Because shame dies when you see that you are not alone.

Because it can be helpful to learn from someone else’s examples.

Because you enjoy talking, listening, and being with people.

(In-person participants will also get a virtual copy of the content.)

When might self-study be better?

If you are busy on Monday nights.

If you prefer to be private about your mental health.

If social anxiety will hold you back from attending in-person gatherings.

(Self-study participants can ask questions by email and/or a 15-minute Q&A call with the facilitator.)
